I bought this set to use chains on a trip to the snow with the family. I practiced once in the garage, before I took the trip and then packed up and left. Fortunately, not waste my money and time was very snowy, so I had to put them on 3 times during the trip. in total, I've probably put about 30 miles on the chains during travel, some of which was the bare asphalt due to lack of space of shoulder to pull over and remove the chains.
